Nashville took on Portland in front of a lively crowd.

The Nashville Lasers met little resistance from the Portland Mad Ants, beating them, 11-2, at Mad Ants Ballpark. Aaron Davenport led the way. He went 1 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for Nashville. Reynaldo Calle got the win, improving to 2-0. He held the Mad Ants to 2 runs on 3 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3.

With Nashville trailing 2-1 in the top of the second, Davenport hit a fastball from George Robertson for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Lasers ahead, 5-2.

Said losing manager Will Berman: "Give the Lasers credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."

The loss drops Portland to 3-5.
