The Montreal Canadiens pinned a convincing loss on the Baxter Springs Marshals, 9-1, at Marshals Ballpark. Chris Stoll was a main factor in the win. He went 1 for 1 with 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for Montreal. Montreal reliever Ryan Louviere picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. John Bickel was saddled with the loss. Baxter Springs falls to 3-2.

The Canadiens got an important contribution from shortstop Matt Davis, who in the top of the fifth punched a first pitch fastball to center for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Canadiens ahead, 4-0.

"They took it to us," said Baxter Springs manager Justin Watts.
