Lasers Ballpark was the site for Stars Conference action featuring the Lubbock Stampede and Nashville Lasers.

The Nashville Lasers put together a convincing win at Lasers Ballpark, defeating the Lubbock Stampede, 11-1. Marc Toney was one of the hitting stars. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Nashville. John Jones, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Stampede to no runs on 3 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Malcolm Slater sewed up the save, his 1st.

With Nashville leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Toney hit a 2-run single off Lubbock hurler Juan Barron. It was the 6th hit of the season for Toney and put his team ahead, 3-0.

Lubbock manager William Maysonet called the blowout loss "a real bummer."

The win puts Nashville at 2-2.
