It could have been a different outcome for Glendale, had it not been for Brian Byrnes, the 23-year old second baseman . Byrnes contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fifth inning to put Glendale up, 4-1.

Byrnes attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
