Byrnes Slugs Muskies to 4-1 Win
|
Glendale beat Nashville in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The Glendale Muskies stymied the Nashville Lasers, 4-1, at Lasers Ballpark. Brian Byrnes had a good day at the plate. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Glendale. Justin Farrell earned the save, his 1st, for the Muskies.
Byrnes had a timely hit for Glendale in the top of the sixth. With Glendale trailing 1-0, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 2-1, Glendale.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Glendale skipper Jon Greenberg.
Nashville drops to 2-2.
