Aces Beat Chesapeake, 2-1

The Quebec Aces picked up a win at Belmont Park, knocking off the Chesapeake Tailgators, 2-1. Starting pitcher Curtis Gring played a key role in the triumph. Gring got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. The save was Kevin Morris's, his 1st.
David Lovell went 1 for 3 for Quebec. The 22-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Blake Paul. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"Nice win for us," said Gring. "Now we'll go after the next one."
Chesapeake falls to 1-2.
