Vance, Ghosts Get 2-1 Win
Laredo took on Chesapeake in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Vic Vance, in particular, was fantastic. The Laredo right-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-1. Joe Iverson was credited with the save for Laredo, his 1st of the season. Chesapeake falls to 1-1.

Vance threw well for Laredo, thwarting the Chesapeake offense. The right-hander tossed 108 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Chesapeake manager Dave York.
