Joilet Rallies for 7-4 Victory
|
The Joilet Jesters faced a tough opponent in Glendale pitcher Terry Droubay, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Field of the Muskies by a final score of 7-4. Droubay went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Joilet goes to 2-0 with the win.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 26-year old first baseman Maurice Patterson. Patterson had a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Jesters ahead, 6-4. For the game, Patterson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Patterson.
