Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Glendale Muskies were eager to watch Bob Garbee square off against Tony Casablanca of the visiting Joilet Jesters. In the end, the Jesters won the game, 3-1, with Tony Casablanca leading the way. The save went to Sean Rowe, his 1st this season.

It could have been a different outcome for Joilet, had it not been for Hugo Quiles, the former first round draft pick . Quiles contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Joilet up, 2-0.

Quiles attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
