Cory Langan was locked in. The right-hander led the Laredo Ghosts to a 6-1 win against the Lubbock Stampede at Ghosts Ballpark. Langan, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 4 walks. Byron Stanton picked up his 1st save of the season.

Justin Fiorini had a big 3-run home run for the Ghosts in the bottom of the third inning. With Laredo leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a splitter from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Jonathan Glover and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Ghosts on top, 5-1.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Laredo manager Josh Miller.

With the loss, Lubbock is 1-1.
