Fremont Grabs 5-3 Road Win
|
The Chesapeake Tailgators could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jon Sullivan into a win. Instead, the Fremont Marshalls prevailed, 5-3. Sullivan threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The winning pitcher was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Terence Rodda. He tossed 89 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. Stuart Taylor got credit for the save for Fremont. It was his 1st of the year.
Charlie Harrison helped out the Fremont cause in the top of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Harrison. "You've got to get results."
Fremont sits at 1-2.
