Deltas Score Late to Beat Blue Jays, 2-1

The Deltaville Deltas put one in the win column with an opening day 2-1 triumph over the St. Catharines Blue Jays. The crowd at Rogers Centre watched Rod Montalvo put on a fine performance.
Will Myers was the walk-off hero for Deltaville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Deltas shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm happy we won," said Montalvo. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
