Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the San Antonio Stallions were eager to watch Mike Maschke square off against Juan Cazares of the visiting Huntsville Rockets. In the end, the Stallions won the game, 10-2, with Mike Maschke leading the way.

Adam Peterson had a big run-scoring double for the Stallions in the bottom of the fifth inning. With San Antonio leading 2-1 and a runner on 3rd, he got a sinker from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Cazares and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stallions ahead, 3-1.

"It was a tough day, no getting around it," said losing manager Tim Hodgson.
