Boston Nets 3-2 Win Versus Scorpions
|
Boston Whistlers starter Antonio Higuera turned in a sparkling performance against the Syracuse Scorpions, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Blake Bryant picked up the save for Boston, his 25th of the year. Boston is now 57-50.
Had Jeff Beeson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Beeson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Whistlers.
"We put together a nice win," Beeson said.
