Schmitz Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Tyler Schmitz got the glory and the headlines today, but the Georgia Bulldogs left with the win. The Houston right fielder easily handled the Bulldogs pitching, going 5-for-6, but his Houston Cougars came out on the short end of the 16-14 score.

Schmitz told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win.

"Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."

Tyler Schmitz hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brian Hardman in the 6th, grounded out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th.
