Ohio State Takes Final 4 in Deciding Game
|
The Ohio State Buckeyes were paced by a strong offensive output from Jimmy Kimmel as they downed the Clemson Tigers 3-2 to win the Final 4.
Ohio State won the final game by a score of 6-2 at Bill Davis Stadium to send themselves off to the College World Series.
"I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said right fielder Kimmel, who was named MVP.
For the series, the MVP hit .350 with a .435 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Ohio State Buckeyes don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Cincinnati Bearcats - Florida Gators series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The College World Series schedule will be announced after the Final 4 finishes.
