Scorpions Earn 6-5 Win Versus Nightmare
The New York Nightmare could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Dustin Lewis into a win. Instead, the Syracuse Scorpions prevailed, 6-5. Lewis threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Dave Holzman picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Adam Coleman suffered the loss. John Landgren notched his 8th save in 9 chances.

Shortstop Javier Tarango made an impact for Syracuse, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Dustin Lewis in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Tarango was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Scorpions manager Jose Torres. "This one was nice to get."

With this game in the books, Syracuse is 28-68, New York 37-59.
