Thanks in large part to designated hitter Tim Schellin, the Hollywood Stars beat the Chicago Gangsters, 8-0. Schellin belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Jason Hollenbeck picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed no runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 8-1. The Stars, at 55-40, lead by one game in their division.

Aharon Kroyan had a big 3-run home run for the Stars in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Hollywood leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a cutter from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Josh Wilkes and swatted a home run to right. It was his 17th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 4-0.

"It feels good to get this one," Kroyan told the Hollywood Times.
