When the games really matter, the Glace Bay Miners put on their best show, beating the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks by a final score of 10-3. Craig Carson went 3-6 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Glace Bay now leads Grand Rapids 1-0 in the best-of-7 affair.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Carson delivered big-time for Glace Bay, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Satoshi Nishiyama. The game-changing hit put the Miners on top, 4-3.

"It's always fun to score a lot of runs," said Carson.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Jet Hawks Ballpark in Grand Rapids.
