Dollywood Win Evens Series at 2
The Dollywood Partons knotted up the World Series at Keelhaulers Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Gilberto Cortez. Cortez quieted the Santa Rosa Desperados, enabling Dollywood to grab the 5-0 win and move into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Cortez was in the zone all game. He frustrated Santa Rosa hitters while giving the Partons 5.1 innings of quality work. Cortez threw 82 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 4 punchouts.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Dollywood manager Adam Freeman.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Keelhaulers Ballpark in Santa Rosa.
