The St. Catharines Blue Jays started the Division Series in style, winning on the road against the Huntsville Rockets at Ballpark of Austin by a score of 4-2 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Blue Jays right-hander Dusty Berger threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball.

Berger was effective for St. Catharines, seldom allowing the Rockets to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 80 pitches over 8 innings. He limited Huntsville to just 1 run on 3 hits.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Huntsville manager Alec Roller.
