Mad Ants, Jesters Play 24 to Settle Game 1, Portland Now Leads Series 1-0
One game in and the Division Series is already looking exhausting.

The Portland Mad Ants and the Joilet Jesters needed 24 innings to settle Game 1, with the Mad Ants finally taking the 6-5 victory at Ballpark of Joilet. Excelling in the win was Portland pitcher Junior Millner, who came in in relief and pitched to 19 batters. The Mad Ants and Jesters are playing a best-of-7 series.

Portland needed the clutch hitting of Felipe Hinojos to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 24th inning to put the Mad Ants on top, 6-5. For the game, Hinojos had 1 home run and 2 singles in 9 at-bats.

"Exciting game to play in," said Hinojos. "Getting the win makes it even better."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Joilet in Naperville.
