Gangsters Absorb 11-3 Home Loss
|
Nick Seago led New York to a win over Chicago. The final score was 11-3. Seago, who is tied for 8th in the AC in triples with 4, collected 2 RBI, while going 3 for 5 at the plate. The third baseman also scored 3 times. Dustin Lewis picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 9. On the season, he is now 8-5. John Dollar was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 3 save opportunities.
In the top of the seventh, New York center fielder Maik Penn had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Penn stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 5-3, New York. For the game, he went 3 for 6 with 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"We maximized our offense today," said New York skipper Joey Bishop. "That makes everyone's life easier."
The Nightmare improved their record to 41-47 by beating Chicago.
