Loewenberg Sizzles -- Smokes Bruins for 5 Hits
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Chris Loewenberg. Loewenberg went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off UCLA pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Northwestern Wildcats had a win, 6-5, over the Bruins.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

Chris Loewenberg walked in a run in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Paul Holly in the 6th, flied out in the 9th, singled in the 11th, singled in the 13th and singled in the 15th.
