Hex Pitching Ravaged by Johnson Sunday, April 19th , 2026 It was a high-five day for Jeff Johnson, at least for a while. The Waco catcher got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Providence Hex, but they were in short supply at the end, as Providence won the game, 12-11. Johnson finished with an impressive 5-for-6 line, but the Warlocks couldn't hold off the Hex. "Jeff was hitting everything," said Warlocks manager Mike Schwartz. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." Jeff Johnson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Wally Jacob in the 5th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th and grounded out in the 11th.
