Hex Rally Late to Nip Warlocks
Despite a fine performance by second baseman Jose Rivera, the Waco Warlocks lost to the Providence Hex, 12-11. Rivera went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice. Providence pitcher Dan Maxwell got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Sam Betourne got the loss. The Warlocks drop to 6-7 and continue their mediocre start to the 2026 season.

Pete DiBiaso played the role of hero for Providence. In the bottom of the 13th, he launched a solo home run off Sam Betourne to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.

In postgame remarks, DiBiaso said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
