Hirsch on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Niskayuna
Saturday, August 9th , 2025
Montgomery left fielder Kyle Hirsch could do no wrong in his team's 11-9 win over the Fighting Knights, as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Fighting Knights skipper Jonathan Anderson said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Hirsch agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Kyle Hirsch singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Andres Garcia in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
Looking at his stats this year, Hirsch has compiled a .297 batting average, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 48 runs. He has played in 87 games and scored 60 runs.
