DeVaul Socks It to Unicorns, Cracks 5 Hits Saturday, August 3rd , 2024 It was a big day for Paul DeVaul and he brought the Little Rock Golden Gophers along for the ride. DeVaul led his club to victory, 11-5, over the Newport Unicorns at Chanticleers Ballpark, smoking Newport pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The 22-year-old right fielder later called the victory "sweet." Paul DeVaul singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Raul Sauceda in the 6th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
