It was a big day for Paul DeVaul and he brought the Little Rock Golden Gophers along for the ride.

DeVaul led his club to victory, 11-5, over the Newport Unicorns at Chanticleers Ballpark, smoking Newport pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The 22-year-old right fielder later called the victory "sweet."
