McCarson on a Rampage, Hits for Cycle Monday, July 1st , 2024 Aurora's Ed McCarson accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, McCarson finished 5-for-7 with 6 runs batted in and 3 runs scored and helped the Paints knock off the Julian Jammers, 24-1, at Paints Park. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," McCarson told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Ed McCarson doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 7th.
