Super Swinger -- Ota Slams 5 Hits Thursday, July 17th , 2025 Shinichi Ota was the King of Swing at Jammers Park in the 14-4 Providence Hex win over the Julian Jammers. The Providence shortstop stepped into the batter's box 6 times against Julian and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. "Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 5-for-6 isn't bad for your batting average either." Shinichi Ota hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
