Wetmore Raps Newport for 5 Hits Friday, April 25th , 2025 It seemed Julian Jammers first baseman Tim Wetmore could do no wrong, but it still didn't come out right. The Jammers fell against the Newport Unicorns by the score of 7-6. Wetmore did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Newport prevailed at Jammers Park. "I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Wetmore said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that." Tim Wetmore singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Greg Vanderhoek in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
