AJUCO Selects Cusack April's #1 Pitcher

An outstanding 2-1 record in April earned Danny Cusack the Pitcher of the Month Award in the ABA Junior College. When his name was penciled in to start on the Cowley County Community College lineup card, it meant trouble for opposing teams.
In 29.2 innings of work, Cusack limited opposing batters to 28 base hits and a .248 batting average. He notched 25 strikeouts, issued 10 walks and had a 2.43 ERA.
For this year, Cusack has chalked up 5 wins and 2 losses in 11 starts with 51 strikeouts in 63.2 innings and a 3.25 ERA.

McKechnie Crowned Batter of the Month in April

Malcolm McKechnie, the College of Southern Nevada Coyotes left fielder, certainly made his name known to ABA Junior College hurlers over the last month. He consistently introduced himself with hit after hit and came away with April's ABA Junior College Batter of the Month award.
He slashed and bashed his way to a .393 batting average while tallying up 9 home runs, 24 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He also worked AJUCO pitchers for 11 walks and a .490 on-base percentage.
McKechnie is batting at a .320 pace this season, picking up 62 hits in 194 at-bats with 18 home runs, 54 RBIs and 46 runs scored.
