McIntosh Earns April's Best Pitcher Honor

When Phil McIntosh takes the hill, there's a good chance for a Central Arizona College victory. At least that's the way it was in May.
He excelled with a 4-0 mark and a 2.02 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 26.2 innings, fanned 18, and held enemy hitters to a .232 average.
That's why the Vaqueros star was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the ABA Junior College.
Over the season McIntosh has thrown 69.1 innings and dished out 45 strikeouts with a 7-1 mark and a 2.73 ERA.

Cowley County Community College's Garza Winner, AJUCO Best Hitter in April

Victor Garza put together a good April to earn the ABA Junior College Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Cowley County Community College officials that he belongs on the big league roster.
The Tigers right fielder posted a .415 batting average with 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
To date this year, Garza is batting .322 with 9 home runs.
