Vetsch 5-for-6 Against Bellflowers Saturday, May 9th , 2026 Saint Pierre and Miquelon left fielder Jeremy Vetsch went down swinging at Wegman's Field, knocking out 5 hits even as his Pirates fell, 14-13. "It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Vetsch said after his 5-for-6 performance against the Buffalo Bellflowers. "No offense meant to Buffalo, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well." After the game, his manager elaborated on the left fielder's improvements, saying Vetsch spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball. "That's what I'm trying to do," Vetsch agreed. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Jeremy Vetsch doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 9th, walked in the 11th and hit an RBI double in the 12th.
