Bombs Away: Weakley Slams 4 Homers Wednesday, April 17th , 2024 In a game for the ages, Abingdon Archers first baseman Zach Weakley launched 4 home runs at Ballpark of Plantersville against the Terra Linda Chargers. Time after time, Weakley found his stroke against the shell-shocked Chargers pitching staff, finishing with 8 RBIs and scoring 4 times as the Archers grabbed the 11-6 victory. "They pitch 'em and I hit 'em. I just did it a little better than them today," Weakley said to reporters after his historic game. "I won big today, but they might get me out 4 times tomorrow." Zach Weakley flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Bryan Barlow in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Victor Mendoza in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Victor Mendoza in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Diego Garcia in the 9th.
