Mounties Dominate, Sweep League Championship Series Wednesday, September 25th , 2024 The Moncton Mounties made it look easy and are heading to the World Series. They have ousted the Whitby Bats in a sweep, the final win coming by a 5-3 score, clinching the 4-0 series win. "Everything's clicking for us right now," said Kyle Twigg, who was named MVP for the series. Twigg hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He added 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Moncton Mounties don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes - Crystal Lake Killers series. Crystal Lake leads the series 3 games to 1.
