The Barrie Admirals took down the Dollywood Partons by the score of 4-3 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the League Championship Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to Barrie starter Marty Matthews, who threw 6.1 innings allowing 3 runs.

David Nevarez had a direct impact on the outcome. Nevarez contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth inning to put Barrie up, 4-0.

"Marty made some big pitches when he needed to," said Admirals manager Manny Uset.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Stadia de Leones in Barrie.
