Whitby Takes Division Series Thursday, September 19th , 2024 The Whitby Bats are one step closer to the World Series. The club prevailed 12-2 at Eláguila Stadia tonight to eliminate the Borrego Springs Rams and advance to the League Championship Series. The Bats won the series by a 4-2 margin, with catcher and series MVP Brandon Coleman leading the way. "I'm proud of all the guys," Coleman said. "This was a team effort, not just me." The Whitby Bats will play against the Moncton Mounties in the next round. Moncton won their series against the Buffalo Bellflowers 4 games to 0.
