Orr 5-for-5 Against Archers
Saturday, August 30th , 2025
It was almost a perfect day for Tyler Orr.
The Franklin first baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Cubs lost to the Abingdon Archers, 9-4. Orr told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."
Franklin manager Kerry McElree told the beat writers otherwise.
"There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."
Tyler Orr hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
Currently Orr is hitting .337 and has collected 28 home runs, 99 RBIs and scored 69 times, while playing in 99 games.
