Takata Slams 5 Hits for Buckeye Local Saturday, August 23rd , 2025 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Masaaki Takata. Takata went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Sunrise Manor pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Cincinnati Grounds, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Buckeye Local Panthers had a win, 17-8, over the Sunchasers. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Masaaki Takata singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
