Long Island Shut Out by Reed Friday, September 1st , 2023 Chris Reed of the Whitby Bats toyed with the Long Island Torpedoes, as he shut them out, 1-0, at Eláguila Stadia. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 1-hitter with 7 strikeouts and no walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Reed said in the clubhouse after the game.
