Stonehouse Raps 3 HR Against Bellflowers Saturday, September 5th , 2026 Long Island Torpedoes left fielder Phil Stonehouse had a magnificent game against the Buffalo Bellflowers, rocketing three balls out of Wegman's Field to help the Torpedoes win, 10-5. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Stonehouse went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Long Island manager Moises Gonzalez said later. "Seems like Phil found his home run stroke today." Phil Stonehouse struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Danny Bravo in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Wilson Rodriguez in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Wilson Rodriguez in the 8th. This year, Stonehouse is hitting .377 with 5 home runs and 12 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .452 clip and scored 14 runs. |
