					|   | Benedict Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Friday, July 19th , 2024
 Chris Benedict has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Ft. Wayne right fielder picked up 2 more today against the Buckeye Local Panthers and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Earthquakes won the game, 6-5.
 
 "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being."
 Chris Benedict grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Hiroshi Matsui in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, walked in the 9th and walked in the 11th.
 
 Hitting .373 to date, Benedict has 21 home runs and 84 RBIs. He has played in 86 games.
