Best Pitcher Honor Goes to Cordova of Tiverton Sunday, October 16th , 2022 Jon Cordova of the Tiverton Colonels was in command and couldn't do much wrong when he was on the mound this season. His outstanding 10-7 won-lost mark and 3.02 ERA were big factors in his winning the 2022 Northern Conference Pitcher of the Year Award.
In 184.2 innings of work and 36 starts, Cordova struck out 150 while giving up 122 hits and 90 walks. He held opposing batters to a .187 average.
He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 24. Brian Gay of the Moncton Mounties finished second in voting with 10 first place votes, while Omar Lorenzo of the Whitby Bats finished third with 1 first place vote.
