Melo Wins NC's Best Bat Award Monday, July 1st , 2024 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 20 Alex Melo has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Buffalo Bellflowers star can enjoy the numbers he put up in June, which have garnered him the nod as the Northern Conference Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .477 average with 11 home runs, 33 RBIs and 29 runs scored. For the year, Melo has hit .450 with 28 home runs, 96 RBIs and scored 90 runs. |
