Hernandez Tags Raptors for 5 Hits Thursday, June 20th , 2024 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Jose Hernandez -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at Ballpark of Picture Rocks, but the performance lost a little luster when the Flight were downed, 9-5, by the Picture Rocks Raptors. After his glittering performance, the San Bernardino catcher told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat." His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. "I just wish we had added a win in the record book, too," Hernandez said. Jose Hernandez singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
