Ruhl Cracks 3 HR for Bats Sunday, July 20th , 2025 Whitby Bats third baseman Randy Ruhl put on a dazzling display of power at Eláguila Stadia against the Buffalo Bellflowers. In the 19-9 Bats victory, Ruhl penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Buffalo manager Andy Perez said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 21-year-old had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Ruhl said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Randy Ruhl hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Santiago in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Carlos Santiago in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Diego Cantu in the 8th. This season, Ruhl is batting .429 with 23 home runs. He has scored 49 runs and driven in 53. |
