Ridin' High: Zimmerman Hits for Cycle Thursday, July 17th , 2025 At Mapleton Yards, Charlie Zimmerman led Moncton to a win, 15-2, over the Plymouth Rockers by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's more difficult feats. "Usually the triple is the hardest one to get, but I was most worried about the homer today because the ball wasn't carrying," Zimmerman said later. "When I took it deep, I was expecting the ball to die on the warning track, so it was sweet seeing the ump give me the signal to circle the bases." In addition to going 4-for-5, Zimmerman chalked up 3 runs batted in and scored 3 runs in an exceptional performance. Charlie Zimmerman singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Willie Salcedo in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
