Puente Belts 5 Hits Monday, July 24th , 2023 It was a parade of hits for David Puente of the San Bernardino Flight at Whataburger Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Puente finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Flight to a win, 8-3. "Puente was really good and we were really bad," groaned Texans manager Cory Schreck. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." David Puente hit a solo-shot off Cesar Ramirez in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
