Matison belts 2 home runs in Wolverines Win
The Riverside Wolverines defeated the Crystal Lake Killers, 11-6, at Wolverines Ballpark. Riverside was led by 18-year old designated hitter Randy Matison, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Riverside occupies second place in the Southern Conference West Division at 65-36.

With Riverside leading 6-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Matison came up to bat against Crystal Lake pitcher Tony Becerra. Matison hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season put the Wolverines on top, 9-1.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Matison.
