McAlister Gets 5 Hits Wednesday, May 22nd , 2024 All game long, Crystal Lake's Bill McAlister was rattling the walls at Ballpark of San Bernardino and banging out base hits against the San Bernardino Flight. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Killers had a win, 9-8. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 20-year-old first baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Bill McAlister hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
