Buffalo Stops Maser Hit Streak
Friday, June 5th , 2026
Plymouth left fielder Dave Maser experienced something against the Buffalo Bellflowers he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game.
The Bellflowers pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 22 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Rockers to a 11-8 victory at Madison Grounds.
"Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 22-game hitting streak," Maser joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories."
This year, Maser has batted at a .447 pace with 92 hits, 15 home runs, 60 RBIs and scored 43 times.
