Justin Phelps Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Tuesday, June 28th , 2022 The doctors have spoken and Justin Phelps of the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old second baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Phelps sustained his season-ending injury during the Buffalo Bellflowers game yesterday at Wegman's Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Saint Pierre and Miquelon medical staff reported Phelps had a fractured knee and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months. Thus far this year, Phelps is batting .371 with 5 home runs, 15 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
